The Daisy Appeal is a thoughtful and caring way to remember a loved one. When you donate to the appeal in memory of someone special, we’ll reserve a beautiful bright blue daisy, just for you.
Before the daisy is yours to keep, it will become a work of art. From Tuesday 2 August to Sunday 21 August 2022, we’ll be displaying a sea of these eye-catching blue flowers in the peaceful grounds of Museum in the Park, Stroud. Each daisy is in memory of someone dearly loved and deeply missed. We hope the artwork brings comfort and peace to everyone who visits.
This eye-catching blue daisy is your gift, when you support the Daisy Appeal. If you’re a keen gardener, you may have spotted it’s modelled on a European Michaelmas daisy from the Aster family. Blooming from late-summer to autumn, they provide colour when most flowers are coming to an end.
Daisies represent eternal love, while Michaelmas daisies symbolise a departure or farewell. The colour blue stands for loyalty, calmness and serenity.
Why support the Daisy Appeal?
As well as your special daisy gift, you’ll be supporting people across Gloucestershire whose lives have been turned upside down by a devastating diagnosis. When time is short, our expert care helps patients and their loved ones make the most of every day together.
To reserve a daisy, visit longfield.org.uk/daisy-appeal or call the fundraising team on 01453 886868. The suggested donation is £30 per daisy.
