Group of young people making music on a range of instruments at The Music Works, Gloucester

Mix and Mash Home Educated
Gloucester

Mix and Mash Home Educated is a new addition to our Short Breaks programme. It provides 2 hours of music activities for young people with additional needs who are educated at home while their families are free to take a break or join in if they wish!
What does it involve?
Visit our Music Hub in Gloucester, try out a range of music activities, make new friends, meet our friendly music leaders, and past participants. Sessions take place from 2-4pm on the first Tuesday of each month. The sessions include a mix of fun, high-energy and calming music activities, tailored to suit everyone – regardless of experience or ability. We use specialist equipment and work with trained staff to make sure all young people can take part.
These sessions also link with our weekly IncDrop after-school drop-in (Tuesdays, 4.30–6pm during term time), offering a relaxed way for young people to gradually join a larger social group when they feel ready.
Who is it for?
Mix & Mash Home Educated sessions are £5 and are open to young people aged 10-21 with any disabilities, diagnosed or undiagnosed neurodivergence, learning difficulties or sensory processing needs.
