Grants for Individuals

You can often apply for grants to help cover the cost of support or equipment to take part in local activities.  Local grant providers are listed below.

Gloucestershire Disability Fund – http://www.glosdisabilityfund.org.uk/ 

Wellbeing grants of up to £1,000 are provided to disabled people of any age to pay for an item, some help or a service.

Financial support is also available for disabled people over 18 from the Your Future Fund, which can help with education, work-related training, pursuing goals in arts or sports, or personal development through doing a special project.

Grants are provided for people with learning difficulties, or for families who have a member with learning difficulties.  Funding is awarded for items that will improve the individual’s quality of life or support their personal development or hobbies and interests.

Happy Days CharityHappy Days Children’s Charity UK – Apply for Funding (happydayscharity.org)

The Happy Days Children’s Charity aim is to help as many people as we can by funding trips, experiences, respite breaks and group activity holidays for those who need them most. 

Gloucestershire Community Nurses FundGCNF

One of the Gloucestershire Community Nurses Funds three aims is: To provide financial support to people who are experiencing difficulties as a consequence of illness or disability. For example, a grant may be made for the provision of equipment, minor adaptations or repairs or to assist with the cost of therapy or care.

Barnwood Trust have changed the way we’re providing individual grants, and it’s no longer possible to apply directly to the Trust. This page has videos and text explaining the changes. Further details can be found on their FAQ page.
