Are you aged 10 to 15, home educated and want to spend more time outdoors? This is a fun opportunity for those who have additional needs to have a ‘short break’ and try something new, like bushcraft or whittling! If you’re not sure and have any worries, chat to your parent or carer and get in touch for more info.

This session will be our first of 4 at Westonbirt Arboretum:

28th May, 10:00-14:30 • Outdoor activities @ Westonbirt Arboretum

11th June, 10:00-14:30 • Outdoor activities @ Westonbirt Arboretum

World Jungle and Cotswolds National Landscape are being supported by Active Impact and Gloucestershire County Council to provide an opportunity for young people who have additional needs and/or disabilities to spend time with other young people and have fun outdoors!

This new pilot project is aimed at supporting young people (10-15) who are home-educated and have additional needs to spend time out of the house and meet other young people their age. World Jungle and Cotswolds National Landscape youth workers will encourage and support young people to relax and socialise, whilst enjoying the Cotswolds countryside. Sessions will include fun activities, such as bushcraft, low ropes, and a zipwire. Young people will have the opportunity to shape the sessions going forward.

This new opportunity is not a replacement for educational provision, it is an opportunity to have fun, make friends, relax, and try new things.

We can make many accommodations, please talk to us to let us know what you need to enable your young person to take part.

Cost £10 per session (reduction for siblings)
Lunch/snacks provided

Please do contact us if cost is a barrier to attending
