An interactive trail of performance & fun, creative challenges for visually impaired children & families. A magical journey through Westonbirt Arboretum!

Come and join Sonny, a wise woodsman of the forest! He’s been a little out of kilter recently and needs your help. Can you come exploring with us to find his friends? And together, we can restore the balance & harmony of nature!

With performance and fun, creative challenges along the way, CRUNCH! The Trail is a unique experience in nature for the whole family to enjoy.

Connect with the senses through textural interactions, soundscapes, creative audio description and joyous dance performance!

Recommended age for children is 5 -13 years. Younger children & babies are welcome too – they go for free, but will need a ticket.

Saturday 30th September, 11:00am – 1:00pm

For Visually Impaired Children & Families

This event is for families with a visually impaired child or parent. This is part of our ongoing work in collaboration with visually impaired dance artist, Holly Thomas.

As with our workshop event days, there will be time for conversation, play, tea & juice afterwards! New families are welcome to join.

“The audio description made the performance come to life more for my daughter but as a dyslexic adult it did the same for me too.” – quote from previous attendee.

Tickets are subsided thanks to funding & support from Cotswold Primrose Trust, Arts Society Corinium, Barnwood Trust & Forestry England. You are welcome to come for free, or you can choose an amount you are happy to pay. Please select your preferred ticket option at the checkout. All ticket income goes back into the project, helping us to put on future events with VI families in Gloucestershire.

Your ticket includes entry to Westonbirt Arboretum and a place to experience CRUNCH! The Trail.

CRUNCH! The Trail is limited to 40 people with pre-booked tickets.
