Would you like your child to take part in some fun, free activities this summer in your local area? The last year or so has been very difficult for everyone, with children missing out on learning, new experiences, and spending time having fun and making friends.
So, all through August over 100 local activity providers are putting on events for young people who have free school meals or may be vulnerable in other ways. Thanks to additional funding from GCC many of these events are now open to everyone and the providers would love to welcome you all!
Open to all events have (COMF) in their titles.
Contact the individual organisers if you need more information about accessibility and support requirements.
Active Impact has provided Inclusion Training for some providers and is available throughout August to support inclusion and problem solve any issues. Providers will be welcoming a huge number of young people – so we’re there to give a helping hand for inclusion.
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme is funded by the Department for Education, but GCC have made additional funding available (COMF) to make extra spaces on some of this summer’s activities available to all in the county.
To find COMF-funded activities in your area, visit the Holiday Activities and Food page (link below) and click on your district to go to the booking system. Activities with spaces for everyone will have ‘COMF’ in the name. New events are being added daily so please keep checking regularly. See the additional information for support with SEND.
