Of Course We Can Family Activity At Wychwood Festival
Active Impact and Wychwood Festival are working in partnership to provide an amazing opportunity for 60 families of disabled children to enjoy everything that Wychwood Festival has to offer.
Enjoy a weekend of music, arts, activities and more at Cheltenham Racecourse between 30th May – 1st June 2025.
Families can expect a huge range of children’s activities including circus workshops, magic, family shows, drumming, dance, arts and crafts and much more including Active Impact’s Sensory and Chill Out tent.
Headline and other main acts include:
- Joe Wicks
- Scouting For Girls
- Shed Seven
- James
- Doves
- Lucy Spraggan
- and many more!
This short break opportunity is open to Gloucestershire families with one or more disabled children aged 0-25 years old. Day and weekend tickets are available (with or without camping).
This is an independent activity that families can enjoy together so you can turn up at whatever time works for your family and enjoy the festival in whatever way works for you.
This opportunity is subsidised by Gloucestershire County Council as part of the Of Course We Can Short Breaks programme. Families will be asked for a donation towards ticket costs ranging from £20 – £60 for adults 16+ and £10 – £30 for youths (10 – 15 yrs). Adult carers (18+) and children under 10 are free. Additional amounts apply for parking. Details are on the ticket request information, see link below.
As a subsidised event, we have a limited number of tickets available. We are collecting ticket requests from eligible families now and this stage is open until 16th March. We will require proof of eligibility to confirm ticket bookings.
If you are allocated tickets these will be arranged via Active Impact and will be confirmed via email once a further information form has been completed and donation sent. Nearer the festival date, you will receive an email from Wychwood Festival with your digital tickets. You will need to show this email at the box office/wristband collection point when you arrive at Wychwood.
Accessibility
Wychwood takes place on fields which are generally flat but can have some divots and inclines. Some areas are uneven and can get muddy in wet weather (see the Wychwood Festival website for more details) which may make wheelchair access more challenging.
There will be two Mobiloo accessible Changing Places toilets on site for the whole weekend (one located in the main arena and one in the campsite). There is a wheelchair accessible viewing platform by the main stage. Parking for blue badge holders is available on site. Active Impact are providing a sensory chill out space that is open every day.
