Pride in Gloucestershire are kicking off our mini series with Pride in the Park at Pittville Park in Cheltenham.

We are excited to be heading back to Cheltenham to offer a LGBTQ+ focused, family friendly event in the beautiful setting of Pittville Park.

We have a great lineup of artists performing for you headlined by MKSM and supported by Ravenna Slayshon. 

Featuring Loki Hughes; Millie & Elsie, Bill, Topaz, Jordan Phillpotts, Rose Churchill, Bambas, Vicky Brinsden and Sophie Kay

We also have a Trans Area, Sensory Area and our Pride Merch Shop.

OUR HEADLINER – MKSM

MKSM stands for Maksim – name of the singer, songwriter, violinist, and activist. As an openly gay repatriate, he has lived in Russia, in the Ukraine, in Frankfurt and in London, and lives at present in Berlin.

THE PRIDE DOG SHOW

The Pride Dog Show is taking place at 2pm and there are 8 classes. Entry is £2 per dog per class and registration is on the day at the Pride Info & Merch tent.

There are treats for all dogs entering and the top 3 in each class will get a rosette. The class winner receives a trophy and in entered into the Best in Show Class.

FACILITIES

BARS: Our main bar is provided by The Cheltenham Trust and we also have a specialist Gin and Craft Ale Bar provided by the Crafty Beer Guy

FOOD: We have selection on caterering on offer including Hog Roast from the Cheltenham Trust in addtion to their standard menu at the Heritage Cafe. Then we have Openside Pizza selling freshly made stonebaked pizzas and also an ice cream van.

TRADERS AND STALLS: We have a number of selected traders open during the afternoon: Soup Cans (Clothing); Pretty Things, Beth Makes Scents, Henna Kraft by Sim, Goddess Vibes Face Paint; C A Fossils & Crystals, Makes and Bakes and Fire Pheonix (Clothing) and stalls from our sponsors St James Plade, Be More Bob and Doggy Baking Co.

COMMUNITY STALLS: Eddystone Trust, LGBT+ Partnership, Gloucestershire Police; Gloucestershire Fire Brigade; RSPB; The Dogs Trust, Honour Thy Women Group, You’re Welcome Gloucestershire

ACCESSIBILITY: We strive to make our events as accessible as possible. We have Mobiloo in attendance, additional accessible toilets, a sensory area for the Neurodiverse in addition to Ear Phones available to use for those sensitive to sounds.

GETTING TO PRIDE: Pittville Park is served by 3 Stagecoach Bus Routes: D, E and N. Services D and E also run via Cheltenham Spa Rail Station which is useful for those travelling to Cheltenham from afar. There is limited public parking behind Pittville Pumps Rooms so ideally if you are able to walk (10 minutes from the City Centre), get the bus, cycle or hire a Z-Wings Scooter it would help reduce traffic volumes around the venue.
