Children Lead The Way is a not for profit neuro affirming outdoor learning centre set in a beautiful, safe and enclosed forest that is run on voluntary basis. It is located on a working dairy farm situated at Tredington House Farm, GL20 7BU with free onsite parking.

The centre has an inclusive environment with forestry and sensory activities that helps primary aged children that need the extra support to develop their social, emotional and mental wellbeing. It has a calm, thoughtful environment that promotes the joy in child self-directed learning.

Children Lead The Way is run by a friendly, outstanding team with a wealth of experience at raising and teaching children who are neurodiverse as well as therapeutic forestry outdoor learning. They understand the importance of nature based learning  and 100% embrace child led play.

At the moment the centre are welcoming children who are home educated, flexi schooling and those out of school awaiting SEND placements aged 4-12 years for a 2 hour session every Tuesday 10am-12pm in attendance with a parent or carer.

Inclusion statement

At Children Lead The Way, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and neuro-affirming space where every child is celebrated for who they are. We welcome children who are home educated, flexi-schooled, or awaiting SEND placements, along with their parents or carers, to join us for relaxed and supportive two-hour sessions every Tuesday morning. Our values and ethos are focused on following the needs and lead of the child with empathy, acceptance, understanding, trust and patience. We believe every child can thrive when supported in this way.

Our team of passionate volunteers brings extensive experience in neurodiversity and therapeutic outdoor education. We work thoughtfully to create an environment where children feel safe, understood, and free to explore in their own way.

Accessibility Notice:
We are committed to being as inclusive as possible. However, we currently do not have wheelchair access, accessible toilets, or changing facilities on-site. We understand this may limit participation for some families, and we are actively working toward improving access. We welcome open conversations about your child’s needs and how we might support them within our current capabilities.
