Community Sports Foundation: Empowering People Through Sport.
We are a small business that started in April 2023, dedicated to providing inclusive sports and physical activities to children and young people who may not have access to mainstream education. Our programs are specifically designed for home-educated children, EOTAS (Education Other Than a School Setting) students, and those facing barriers to traditional schooling.
Many of the children we support experience serious anxiety, social and emotional mental health challenges, and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) conditions. Through high-quality physical education and sports coaching, we provide safe spaces where they can build resilience, confidence, and social connections.
Beyond working with children, we proudly partner with disabled charities in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire such as The Monday Nite Club, The Monday night football team, Worcestershire Ability Counts League, Active Gloucestershire, and we can move delivering tailored sports coaching for young adults and adults with disabilities and SEND conditions.
Our Holistic Approach to Sport.
At Community Sports Foundation, we embrace all aspects of sports, physical activity, and National Curriculum Physical Education. Our sessions focus on developing physical literacy—including catching, throwing, kicking, agility, balance, and coordination—to support well-rounded movement and skill development.
We have adopted the Play Their Way philosophy, ensuring that children have a voice, choice and journey helping them to shape their sporting experience the way they want. This approach is rooted in the United Nations Convention on Children’s Rights, supporting:
- Article 3: Best interests of the child
- Article 12: Respect for the child’s views
- Article 31: Right to rest, leisure, play, and culture
We understand that sports and physical activity are particularly beneficial for neurodiverse children and those with SEND conditions. More than just physical exercise, our sessions teach resilience, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression.
If you’re a home educator and would like to introduce your children to structured, engaging sports and physical activities, check out our Facebook page for details on locations. You are more than welcome to visit a session, and your first session is completely free under our taster session scheme!

What to Expect in Our Sessions
Many parents ask, “What kind of sports do you coach?” or “What do your sessions look like?”
At Community Sports Foundation, our focus is on game-based learning, using a variety of tag games, ball games, and attacking/invasion games to develop key skills. Examples include:
- Foxes and hounds & rob the nest, linked to tag rugby and grassroots football
- Teamworking games like chain tag, alongside structured team sports such as cricket and dodgeball
- Activities built on physical literacy principles and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) learning models
We deliver an all-round sports and physical activities experience—educational, fun, and engaging. Unlike many providers who focus solely on football, we offer child-centred, multi-sport sessions designed to be inclusive, adaptable, and pressure-free.
Best of all, there is no need to book, and children are welcome to observe a session before joining in. Our groups are friendly and welcoming, and we’d love to have you with us!
