Gloucester Contemporary Artists CIC is a network of practising artists selling and exhibiting our art. Many of us also run workshops and courses to share our skills and experience. We aspire to make Gloucester a respected centre for contemporary art.

Along the way we will create exhibition spaces and events,  and build an audience for visual arts in the city. Ultimately we are aiming to have an art centre for Gloucester that  celebrates local, regional, national and international excellence in the visual arts.

Inclusion statement

To join the GCA membership there are no requirements for artists to be living or working within the Gloucester region.

Every member is expected to contribute in some way to support our shared aims and objectives by making contributions of their skills, experience and time, and to be able to attend group meetings as and when possible.

We welcome applications for membership from practising contemporary artists who seek to excel in making original work. Applicants are expected to provide evidence of this by way of links to their website or social media. Additionally, applications from emerging artists and recent fine art graduates are both welcomed and supported.

We do not select members by screening their work at the application stage, but applicants are asked to self-evaluate their fit within the membership based on these principles before completing the application and paying their subscription.
