 “Our Annual Big Health Day will be back for the 16th time on Friday 14th June at Oxstalls Sports Centre in Gloucester.

As always, the day will offer the chance to participate in a wide range of inclusive sports and activities, from Age Uk, Advocacy, Samaritans, Help the Heroes, Forces Hub, Therapy dogs, REMAP, Podiatry, Diabetic Nurses, Volunteering Opportunities Via Dance to walking rugby, boccia to Powerchair Football. Visitors can try golf, tennis, cycling and snooker (among many other activities) and learn about sailing for the disabled or girl guiding.

We’ll also welcome back a wide range of static displays from fire and ambulance services, The Music Works, Veterans Outreach Van, , a DigiBus (which promotes digital literacy and online safety), and a wide range of 120 + stands and stalls from services and organisations across the county.

The day is organised by our Trust’s Learning Disability Health Facilitation Team, in partnership with a wide range of external organisations and stakeholders including Active Gloucestershire, Active Impact, Freedom Leisure, Gloucestershire Deaf Association, Building Circles, Goals Beyond Grass, Hartpury College, Inclusion Gloucestershire, RevoLOOtion ( mobile changing places), Orchard Trust, PohWER (advocacy) Sailing 4 Disabled, Scrubditch Care Farm, Adapted Bikes and Trikes and Wiggly Worm (now Wiggly).”
