Inclusion Gloucestershire offer user-led services in the community, our model places ‘experts by experience’ at the centre of what we do. We run a variety of projects engaging people across the county with experience of living with a disability or mental ill health.
Our projects are broken down into 3 elements, Engagement, Training and Development and Quality Checking. Our engagement projects include our Inclusion Hubs providing a social and activity space in 3 districts, MHELO giving a voice for those living with mental ill health, GEM working to break down barriers to employment, our Volunteering and Advocacy project and co-chairing Gloucestershire’s Learning Disability Partnership Board.
Our Training and Development builds upon and showcases the brilliant skills of disabled people through a range of methods, including drama. And our Quality Checking works with users and alongside providers to ensure that high standards are delivered in care and support services.
We also work on a changeable variety of short-term projects which draws upon the knowledge of experts by experience to improve services such as, public transport and NHS practises.

Inclusion statement

Inclusion Gloucestershire believes everyone has gifts, ambitions, aspirations and strengths.
But sometimes they experience barriers, setbacks and challenges which make it harder for them to reach their potential.
We want to change that, through working with disabled people and building on their strengths. Our focus is championing people of all ages, whatever their disability, including people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, sensory impairment and mental ill health.
We are a registered charity and user-led organisation, run by people with disabilities for people with disabilities.
