Mix and Mash weekends. Two young people working with music leader on making beats.

Mobile Mix & Mash Weekends
Gloucester

We’re working with Barnwood Trust to offer Short Breaks for young people with additional needs.

What does it involve?

Mix and Mash Weekends are a new part of this offer, fun, 3-hour music-making sessions held at our inclusive music hub in the heart of Gloucester on the last Saturday of each month.

  • In session 1, young people will be able to practice their drumming and rhythm skills in a drum circle or as part of a percussion band.
  • Session 2 gives young people a chance to write their own songs, build their own beats and work on music productions in our Digital Suite.
  • In session 3 we will all come together to sing, practicing a range of songs from our popular IncFest programme, and learn new ones each week.

During each session, our sensory room will be available as a chill out space, and families are welcome to make use of our lounge and kitchen area, or join in with the sessions themselves!

Who is it for?

We use specialist equipment and highly trained staff so that all young people, no matter their musical ability, can take part. The programme is open to young people aged 10-25 (10-18 for those without additional needs) with limited spaces for those 25+ at additional cost.
