Join us monthly for our relaxed, neurodivergent friendly gaming session at Hesters Way Community Resource Centre.

As usual, we will have board/table top games and some (retro) gaming consoles to enjoy including PS3, PS4, Xbox360 and Wii. You are most welcome to bring your favourite tabletop or board game or your own handheld gaming console/tablet/ laptop to engage in ‘local play’ for games like Minecraft, Among Us etc.

Our ever-popular tuckshop will be available and everyone with a gamer ticket gets tokens to spend at the tuckshop.

We have the use of 2 large rooms plus a seating area and a kitchenette for adults to grab a cuppa. These rooms are on the first floor via a wide staircase, see photos. There is a lift available for those neeeding step free access. There are quiet areas and spaces for young people as well as parents / carers to sit and chat. We will also have a sensory area with a blackout tent and sensory toys / tools. Our ‘teen hang-out’ area for older young people will be in the downstairs area (as pictured below). There’s a carpark at the rear of the building with spaces for blue badge holders too.

Please book a £7 ticket for every gamer you are bringing aged 8-18 (if you have younger children please let us know so we can ensure we make space for them whilst giving the older children their peer group time).

Parent Carers are free and we have tea, coffee and biscuits for you all!

Payment on the day by cash or paypal.

The group is open to neurodivergent young people and their friends, we try to create different spaces to accommodate different sensory and interactive requirements but we need everyone to support one another and aim to keep the space autism friendly and calm. While we do our very best to accommodate everyone’s needs, and how the young people would like to use the space, the group is primarily for gaming, and is not suitable for running around so please consider this when deciding if this session is right for your young person.
