Accessing the website

You’re Welcome is your community. We want to make sure you feel at home here and comfortable using the site, whatever your ability or technical prowess. However, if there is anything in particular on the site that you’re having difficulty with, please do let us know  so that we can help. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the accessibility and usability of the site so welcome all feedback!

Here is a general introduction to using the website.  We also have a guide for screen reader users that is being written and will be published here soon.

FINDING YOUR WAY AROUND THE YOU’RE WELCOME WEBSITE

Please click on Join to create your account with You’re Welcome Gloucestershire, or Login to access your account.  In the top right hand corner of the screen is your Profile Menu.  From  here you can post in the forum, add an event or add a thing to do.  You can also click on My Profile to amend or update your profile, including changing your area, interests and requirements.  Settings enables you to change your login email and password and select or change which notifications you receive by email.

If you have not joined up to our inclusive online community you can still view the Event Directory, Things to Do section and the Forum.  You can browse each page by scrolling down (or tabbing).  If you want to find things in any section that relate to a particular area, an interest or a specific accessiblity requirement you can use the filter to search for these.  You can also use the search bar to look for things by key words.  To find out more about an organisation listed in You’re Welcome you can click on their name on any of their listings of find them in the Directory of Organisations in the footer menu.  There is lots of helpful advice about grants, assistance, training and inclusion resources in the Get Support section.

which includes a wealth of information to help you change your browser, computer, keyboard and mouse settings to make the web more accessible to you.
