In the tiny desert town of Asteroid City (population 87), a group of parents and their gifted children gather for the Junior Stargazer Space Cadet convention. Among this eclectic group are a photographer grappling with recent widowhood and a Hollywood starlet. Little do they know that their brief time together will be marked by a world changing event.
